Dr. Bruno Chikly created a very specific treatment protocol that combines deep connective tissue work with lymphatic drainage to address those underlying causes.
This treatment lasts only 30 minutes and can be performed from 1-3 times, over time, if necessary to bring relief.

Through proper analysis of the x-rays, the doctor can identify the relationship between posture and upper cervical misalignment. Because the NUCCA technique pinpoints the cause of misalignment, there is less need for repeated corrections. The body wants to heal itself. Thus, returning the bones of the neck to a normal position promotes proper function in the body and the spine.

Ever since I was a little girl watching my grandma in the kitchen, I loved to help people. She never let me stir the bowl, or form the cookies, but she did always ask me to massage her shoulders for her once she sat down for her soaps. I distinctly remember her saying “Oh Alexandra, you have such strong hands, you should be a massage therapist someday.”. I then remember thinking, “Nah, I’m going to be an artist, silly grandma!”; Well, the joke is on me, because I grew up to be both. Though if it weren’t for that one moment that stuck with me through so many years, I may never have ventured into massage therapy at all.

Now I get to help people overcome their pain everyday, and I don’t think I could ever love another job more. Last time I went to visit my grandma, I even got to help her with her knee pain that had been bugging her for weeks.

Being primarily a deep tissue therapist I really prefer using a slow MFR approach to break up deep adhesions in the muscle body. I love working with people from all walks of life, from chronic to acute injury rehabilitation, or simply needing an hour to unwind; I’m there for it. Let’s start your healing journey!

Magdalena is a registered Physiotherapist and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. She grew up in Airdrie and moved back in 2016 after completing her Masters of Physiotherapy program at the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. Previous to completing her Master’s program she completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at the University of Calgary in 2010, and has been working in healthcare field ever since. During this time she also completed her Certified Exercise Specialist and Certified Exercise Physiologist certifications.

Since graduation from her Masters, she has gone on to pursue post graduate training in orthopaedics, manual therapy, dry needling, prevention and treatment of running injuries, and pelvic health including pregnancy-related pelvic gridle pain, and diastasis rectus abdominis (DRA).

She takes a whole-person approach to assessment and treatment, looking at all aspects of what might be contributing to a person’s symptoms or pain experience to get to the root issue, and then treating the whole-person, not just a body part. She believes that combining evidence based practice with strong clinical reasoning, and tailoring that to the person in front of you ultimately leads to the best outcomes. Her goal with every person she sees is to educate them about their bodies so that they feel empowered to take control of their health, and start moving or to get back to movements they love.

Magdalena is also a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and passionate about women’s health. She loves that she gets to combine her knowledge of the musculoskeletal system with specialized pelvic health training to ensure a more comprehensive evaluation of people’s symptoms or complaints, whether that be low back or hip pain, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, or DRA. Whether you’re pregnant, 6 weeks postpartum or 30+ years postpartum, helping people move better and with less pain, is why she loves being a physiotherapist. Her passion for women’s health really grew after giving birth to her two daughters in 2016 and 2019. She believes all women have the right to make informed decisions about their bodies and birth experience, and to receive the care they need postpartum. She also has special interests in working with the dance and running communities.

When she’s not working, you can see her running or biking with her family around Airdrie, or at the yoga studio. She is a lover of the ballet and a previous dancer and dance teacher.
